We can’t have a Happy Hour Wednesday during Shark Week without some shark related drinks and food, right? We have a Blood in the Water Shark drink for you and instead of an appetizer, we went with Shark Attack cupcakes, enjoy!

Blood in the Water Shark Drink:

Ingredients:

  • Strawberry or regular vodka

  • Strawberry syrup

  • Blue Curacao

  • Fresh Lemon Juice

  • Lemon Lime Soda

  • Ice

Directions:

  1. Fill a serving glass halfway with ice.

  • Add an ounce of strawberry syrup. Followed by a shot or two (depending on preference) of strawberry flavored or regular vodka

  • Pour the lemon-lime soda over the ice.

  • Squeeze in a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice.

  • Top with Blue Curacao.

  • Garnish with small plastic sharks.

Shark Attack Cupcakes:

Ingredients:

  • 1 box vanilla cake mix, plus ingredients called for on box

  • 2/3 c. white chocolate chips, melted

  • Black food coloring

  • 1 (12-oz.) jar strawberry sauce

  • 3 c. whipped topping

  • Blue food coloring

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350° and line two muffin tins with cupcake liners. Prepare vanilla cake batter according to package instructions and divide between cupcake liners. Bake according to package instructions. Let cool completely.

  2. Meanwhile, make shark fins: Mix melted white chocolate and a few drops of black food coloring, until desired color is achieved. Transfer to piping bag. Pipe fin shapes onto a small parchment-lined baking sheet and place in the freezer.

  3. When cupcakes are cool, use the end of a wooden spoon to poke wells into each cupcake. Fill each hole with strawberry sauce, about 1 teaspoon in each.

  4. In a large bowl, add 5 drops blue food coloring into the whipped topping and fold to combine. Add more food coloring if needed until desired color is achieved.

  5. Frost cupcakes with whipped topping, then top with shark fins and serve
