Visit Lower Lawrenceville to experience Lumaze 

Lumaze is a brand new indoor light festival in Pittsburgh with all the magic and wonder of an outdoor festival, hosted inside their cozy and spacious venue. Check out their Christmas Light Gardens, Interactive Hanging Lights, LED Swings, Hanging Picture Frames, Daily visits from Santa, Christmas Market, Seasonal treats and beverages, and more. The event is located at 24 32nd Street and will run certain days through January 4th.

Head to Market Square to see the Peoples Gas Holiday Market™ 

Pittsburgh’s Peoples Gas Holiday Market mixes international flair with local charm. Enjoy a one-of-a-kind shopping village as you stroll through an illuminated Market Square, weaving through wooden chalets brimming with high-quality gifts and holiday experiences. Every evening, watch a nightly, glittering wonderland show synchronized to holiday music medleys. Designed by the same team who lit iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, see lights dance across the buildings in Market Square. 

This event is always free and open to the public through the holiday season! 

            

Go to PPG Place to visit the Massmutual Pittsburgh Ice Rink 

From November 22 through March 1, the Plaza between Third Avenue and Fourth Avenue transforms into the MassMutual Pittsburgh Ice Rink at PPG Place, a spectacular one-of-a-kind outdoor ice skating rink. Enjoy an exhilarating holiday tradition as you glide and ice skate around the breathtaking 65’ Christmas Tree in the center of the MassMutual Pittsburgh Ice Rink in Downtown Pittsburgh. 

Admission starts at $10 with $4 skate rentals and party packages are available. 

           

Visit Phipps Conservatory for the Winter Flower Show and Light Garden 

For 126 years, Phipps has been a beloved family tradition and their upcoming Holiday Magic! Winter Flower Show and Light Garden are their best and brightest yet, with over ten acres of gardens and sights to explore. This year’s exciting Festival of Trees theme makes holiday trees the centerpiece of Phipps’ winter wonderland, featuring a TREE CAROUSEL, colorful POINSETTIA TREES, a FLOATING FOREST of sparkling trees reflecting on water, a FROZEN FOREST with charming topiary reindeer, and a showstopping RAINBOW GLOW TREE — an exclusive new tree-shaped display that towers over 8 feet tall with more than 150 colorful, glowing limbs — plus many more holiday surprises.

Head to Kennywood for Holiday Lights 

Through December 30th, visit America’s Finest Traditional Amusement Park as it decks its halls (and rides) with nearly two million twinkling lights, highlighted by the tallest Christmas tree in the state of Pennsylvania. Enjoy holiday performances, see spectacular light shows, visit Santa Claus, and more! The area surrounding the Lagoon comes to life with an amazing spectacle of lights choreographed to your favorite holiday songs. There are two different versions of the Kennywood Holiday Lights Show, so be sure to enjoy both performances! 

Tickets range from $11.50-$19.49 with season passes available. 

  

With so many fantastic options, there may not be enough time to check out every one of these light shows (but boy, can we sure try!).
